Max, our new Test Engineer

A few months ago we were lucky enough to have Max join spriteCloud as a Test Engineer. It’s incredible how someone so young and fresh-faced comes with a ton of digital agency side functional testing experience. Aside from Max’s experience and high level of taking ownership of projects, he is also just a great person to work with.

Hopefully, you will find yourself working with Max on a project in the near future. For now, however, join us as we getting to know one of our newest Test Engineers.

Tell us about yourself.

Hello there! My name is Max and I’m a software tester at spriteCloud.

Something about me: I’m small and I play basketball (yes, I know…. but I manage), I love travelling and my next goal is seeing the Aurora Borealis by driving to Nordkapp in Norway. Besides working, you can find me outside with any form of a camera in my hand as I love to photograph on the side.

What will you be doing at spriteCloud?

I’m mainly a functional tester, but with a Business and IT background. I hope to transition into a versatile and valuable asset for spriteCloud. I’m training to become a Test Automation engineer and, with the business background, helping clients as well as assisting internally at spriteCloud with their test environments and process improvements.

How did you get into software testing?

During my study, my first internship was with a digital agency and old customer from sC, Peakfijn.

Here I was the lead tester for 6 to 8 developers. I learned how to take ownership and the need for prioritization like no other due to the pressure and amount of work that is involved within a digital agency. I stuck around with Peakfijn and worked here for 2 years before joining spriteCloud.

What is your favourite thing about your role or spriteCloud, so far?

I really like the diversity of different projects and clients. Joining spriteCloud during the pandemic was kind of weird, but I know now for sure that the people I work with on the regular are amazing and I can learn a lot from them.

Tell us something that you wish more people knew about you.

I will let you search for the answer, because I think most of the time its best to not give it, as you learn the most by finding out yourself. So please don’t dislike me if I don’t give you the answer directly, I’m trying to make you better 😉

Thanks, Max for taking the to help us get to know you a little better, though we had to work a little harder than we initially thought 😀
