1. How we ask for consent

When you first visit our website from the EU, a cookie banner asks which cookies you accept: analytics, functionality and advertising. Until you choose, we only place cookies that are strictly necessary, and Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity run without setting cookies.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies remember your cookie choice. They do not need consent.

__hs_cookie_cat_pref (HubSpot): stores which cookie categories you accepted. Expires after 6 months.

__hs_opt_out (HubSpot): remembers that you declined cookies so we don't ask again on every page. Expires after 6 months.

__hs_do_not_track (HubSpot): stops HubSpot tracking if you declined. Expires after 6 months.

3. Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand which pages people visit and where the site can improve. We only place them after you accept analytics cookies.

_ga and _ga_<ID> (Google Analytics): distinguish visitors and sessions. Expire after 2 years.

_clck, CLID, MUID (Microsoft Clarity): recognise a returning visitor so Clarity can build heatmaps and session recordings. Expire after 1 year.

_clsk (Microsoft Clarity): groups page views into one session. Expires after 1 day.

__hstc and hubspotutk (HubSpot): recognise a returning visitor and, if you filled in one of our forms, link your visits to your contact record. Expire after 6 months.

__hssc and __hssrc (HubSpot): track the current session. Expire after 30 minutes or when you close your browser.

By default, Microsoft Clarity masks what you type into form fields, so recordings do not show what you enter.

4. Functionality cookies

Our website has a live chat, run by HubSpot. These cookies let the chat remember your conversation when you move between pages or come back later.

messagesUtk (HubSpot): recognises you in the chat so earlier messages stay visible. Expires after 6 months.

5. Advertising cookies

We use Google Ads to promote our services. Through our HubSpot account, a Google Ads tag measures whether someone who clicked one of our ads later visits our site or gets in touch. We only load it after you accept advertising cookies.

_gcl_au (Google Ads): links a visit to an ad click to measure campaign results. Expires after 90 days.

IDE and test_cookie (Google, set on doubleclick.net): used by Google to measure and show ads. IDE expires after 13 months, test_cookie after 15 minutes.

6. Third-party services

Some links on our site open services run by others, such as our Google Calendar booking page and our LinkedIn page. Those services set their own cookies under their own policies once you visit them.

7. Managing cookies in your browser

Besides the Cookie settings link, you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking all cookies may affect how some websites work. Instructions for the most common browsers are available from Google (Chrome), Mozilla (Firefox), Apple (Safari) and Microsoft (Edge) in their help pages under cookies and site data.
